FREEDOM DAY

people who fought for freedom.

27 April means a lot too many South Africans and to others in is just a public holiday they careless. To me it means a lot because I never got a chance to meet my uncle who died fighting for his country and our freedom. I celebrate this day in remembrance of the unknown just like my uncle. This day is very special to us people who lost their loved ones.

Speaking of the unknown (People’s blood was shared for us and those people are legends in my eyes wherever they are) .Every year certain names and political organisation are mentioned and I always say let us not be subjective when thanking our freedom fighters  and let us not select certain political organization because every one was involved and surely there were other political parties involved too. We should thank the well-known and the unknown  because they all have fought for our freedom regardless of what organisation they represented. These people have brought freedom to us. We should celebrate this day wisely. Unfortunately for my family we are always in different parts of South Africa so we cannot celebrate it as a family.

IT IS A POOR IDEA TO LIE TO YOURSELF

When an overweight woman starts a diet plan or excises she expects to see early results, as a result you will see her jumping on and off scale (weighing scale). The woman gets so frustrated and starts eating too much but she will not notice the fact that she is no longer following her diet plan.

Unfortunately she will gain weight because she is eating more than usual. Usually when this happens a woman buys black clothes because she believes that black clothing makes a person look slimmer. A second option is that she will start to buy size bigger clothes so that people may think that she has lost weight and she will get complements. Women in that situation always think people are fools and she is fooling them but she is actually fooling herself and also lying to herself.

What they don’t know is that while they are lying to others and themselves they are actually getting bigger.

A hand is the one of the most powerful feature a person has. A hand can do the most incredible things; a hand can touch, write, make signs and so forth. Whatever you want your hand to do it can do it, you just have to instruct it.

The sound that comes out of one hand is more affective that a two hand sound. When clapping hands together there is less sound than when you using your one hand. One hand can make the most incredible and noticeable sound.  When one smacks another, he/ she will use one hand. You will notice this, immediately when that person finishes smacking that person everybody will look that happens because of the powerful sound the hand has produced.

Beauty of the Karoo

Most people think that the beauty of South Africa is the Table Mountain, Robbin Island, beaches and so forth: that is not true because there are hidden place like the Karoo in the Southern part of South Africa. Places like the Karoo there is barely anything, I mean there is no constructions but it is where all the wealth and beauty of the South Africa is. The different types of animals which are there, springbok, cows, goat,  birds and so forth. I was in shock when I saw a springbok crossing the road in front of the car.

The beautiful mountains, the shape, the size and the height of the mountain. The mountains that caught my attention is there Three Sister Koppie . The Three Sister Koppie is between Beaufort West and Hanover, these mountains are the most beautiful mountains that I have ever seen. They look the exactly the same, the size and height. What is actually beautiful about Three Sisters mountain is the top part of the mountains, looks like a tea cup that is why is named” three sister koppie”. Initially the name is referred to the top part of the mountain.  There is no place like the Karoo in the N1 rout when traveling, make sure you do not sleep so that you will see the beauty of South Africa. 

There is no need for us to go elsewhere to see amazing thing because we have the most beautiful country so before you go and see other countries take a short left and enjoy the beauty of your own country. Proudly South African.

not all who wander are lost

Let’s look at this in an animal perspective.  In a forest I always find animals walking up and down, in circles and I always wonder are these animal lost or what. In actual fact they are not lost they are looking for food, by wandering around animals can find food and shelter. Usually a male animal does this wandering around as he is strong and he is able to hunt. If you ever take note of an animal you will see that the animal always wanders around in a particular spot where once it caught a prey.

Now let’s look at in a human perspective. Some human go around because they want to distress by walking up and down or in circles this actually helps them and also when we are hunting we wander around. when I hunt you might really thing I am lost because I go up and down but note that i m not lost i am look for food . humans and animals behave the some although we might think we are different from them .In actual fact not all wonders are lost.

It was past 8 in the morning on my way to CPUT and I was in a taxi. While I was in a taxi I smelled something offish, and I thought it was just the air coming outside because the taxi was standing next to a rubbish bin. As the taxi gets fuller I moved towards the door because the windows could not open at the back.  

I was sitting next to the taxi conductor (gaatjie) and that horrible smell comes back.I was still not sure what this horrible smell is then I asked the gaatjie to move away from the window unfortunately he cannot because there was no space so he had to stand right where he was. 

I realised that the smell is actually coming from his breath, his arm pits infect from his body . It was clear that he has not been bathing for days because if it was just one day he would not be smelling like a dust bin with rotten food.  I again look at him and he said undinjonga ntoni sisi meaning what are you look at.  I could not tell him that I am looking at him because he is smelly. 

Each and every time he opens the window it was like he was opening a can of a fish/ lucky star. I felt nausea, I swear if I had no water around me I would have vomited in his face because he was giving me attitude and very rude. I could not wait to get off that taxi the way I was so fed-up by his smell and attitude.

I always wonder why most of taxi conductors don’t wash because it takes few minutes to bath not hours. These people know that they work with people but it is so hard for them to bath. As a person you know that if you don’t bath you will smell offish so why is it hard for certain people to bath. Lastly why do the taxi drivers don’t tell their gaatjies to wash because it is rare to find a smelly taxi driver.  It is a shame to people who do not have cars because we have to deal with this everyday.
